Emily Templeton is a lawyer for the underdog and a recipient of the Multnomah Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Rookie of the Year Award. Her practice concentrates on the representation of individuals harmed by sexual harassment, sexual assault, and discrimination. Emily got her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Portland State University (2017) and her juris doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School (2021). She began working at the firm in the consumer protection section as a law clerk and joined the section as an associate in 2022.

Emily currently serves on the Multnomah Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Continuing Legal Education Committee, the Oregon State Bar’s Consumer Law Section Executive Committee, and in 2023, she was appointed to the Oregon House of Delegates for Multnomah County.

Emily is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Academy, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the American Association of Justice Civil Rights Section and LGBT Caucus, and she is licensed to practice in Oregon State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Court.

Outside of civil rights, Emily runs the firm’s Pro Bono Tenant Rights Legal Clinic where she helps low-income, disabled, and elderly tenants who could not otherwise afford to hire an attorney.
